Kia Ora, my name is Colleen,

I live in Tomarata, Wellsford, on a sheep and beef farm. Keeping fit, I belong to a wonderful Yoga group where I love the company and the coffee afterwards! I am a member of the Warkworth Photography Club. Walking and gardening, nature and animals are my happiest pursuits apart, of course, from hugging and caring for babies!

I have two children, Sabrena, married to Ryan, who lives in Toronto, Canada and Simon who lives in Melbourne, Australia.I am Nana to Abby and Dexter who live in Melbourne, Australia.

I love my role as a teacher to our youngest tamariki in the Kiwi Room. The first 2 years of their life are so important and here I can nurture, care, love, support and guide them as they learn and grow at their own pace. Building strong trusting and respectful relationships with tamariki and their whānau is vital in nurturing them to become confident communicators and explorers and to be able to help them understand the world around them. It is a privilege to be entrusted with the care of our tamariki and their learning here at Wellsford Preschool.
