Our Kiwi room supports the youngest members of our preschool family with nurturing primary caregivers following respectful practices to empower our babies and toddlers. Through play and social interactions Kaiako (teachers) work at a slower pace allowing children to make choices and understand and anticipate routines and practices.

Our young Kiwi children have their own space especially resourced to encourage safe discovery and imaginative play alongside their peers.  They can also join in with their older peers in the Pukeko room environment, exploring and discovering their wider world. Our younger children learn alongside their older peers, to develop social skills and caring relationships. (Tuakana-teina)
